About This Course

This comprehensive course provides an in-depth understanding of the global medical tourism industry, combining theoretical foundations with real-world case studies from India’s healthcare and wellness sectors. Students learn how international patients navigate healthcare systems, how medical travel facilitators operate, and how hospitals manage cross-border patient journeys.

Beginning with the fundamentals of medical tourism, the course explores treatment categories, global market trends, and why countries like India have become preferred destinations. It then builds into advanced operational topics such as patient onboarding, documentation, visa processing, cost estimation, hospital liaison, and treatment coordination.

Learners gain practical insights into the role of medical coordinators, treatment planning, cultural sensitivity, communication, technology integration, insurance processes, and post-treatment care. The course also covers wellness tourism, including Ayurveda, Yoga, and Naturopathy (AYN), and explains business models, pricing strategies, partnerships, and AYUSH Visa processes.

Through multiple real-life case studies—cardiac surgery, organ transplant, fertility travel, dental/cosmetic tourism, oncology, and wellness tourism—students understand patient expectations, challenges, and end-to-end management. By the end of the course, learners are equipped with the skills needed to coordinate international patients professionally, ensuring safe, ethical, and seamless medical travel experiences.
